The Best Hotel Room Workouts when Traveling for Business

It can be hard to stay fit when you’re traveling for business. Long flights, jet lag, food on the go (often fast food) and before you know it your pants are getting tight and you’re winded climbing a flight of stairs.

The good thing about the following workouts is they can also be done in the comfort of your own home if you’re not someone who likes the gym. With the ability to take your workout anywhere, you’ll have no excuses for not staying fit, since all you need is a laptop or smartphone. Always talk to your doctor before starting a new program if you haven’t exercised for a while.

Here are the best hotel room workouts when traveling for business:

Piloxing

The only thing you need for this workout, is a small pair of weighted gloves which come with the Piloxing system. You’ll get a great boxing workout, and the mix of boxing, Pilates, and dancing will have you burning 400 calories per session.

Karena Dawn and Katrina Scott are the “Tone it Up” girls and their workouts gained traction on YouTube (you can still find plenty of free workouts on their channel), and their Beach Babe DVD program is especially popular for women looking to tone up in time for summer. The girls can be a bit too perky, but their toned bodies provide plenty of inspiration, and the shorter length makes it easy for you to ensure you’re doing

Choose if: You want to look at toned women working out in some of the most pretty locations in the world (the DVD was filmed in Hawaii).

Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred

Anyone who has seen The Biggest Loser will know that Jillian Michaels is a tough trainer, but her interval system gets serious results. Each 20-minute workout allows you to progress by the level of intensity, and you can lose up to 20 pounds in 1 month.

Choose if: You’re looking to lose weight fast, and you want a tough trainer to motivate you.
